Dinah's Model Horse Collection

dinahcollector.jpg

Here is Dinah, a Dawn doll, with her collection of horse figurines.

Kathleen sent this photo to cheer me up! She knows that I love model horses and Dawn dolls. A few years ago, Kathleen sent two of her Dawn dolls to live at my house. They have a whole bunch of friends, here, but they visited Dinah this year at Breyerfest.
Dinah's collection consists of those ultra-cute and sadly discontinued Winner's Choice Micro Minis by Candace Liddy. They were available at stores like Target for about $2-$3 per set! Kathleen and I both love collecting those!
One year at Breyerfest we were lucky to find Candace selling prototypes of her traditional-sized toy horse line, Winner's Choice Gold Standard models. They had changeable manes and tails. Kathleen bought a couple of them, and I bought one, a quarter horse in a sliding stop by the name of Jacoty.
Unfortunately, Candace had problems with the toy line, and eventually stopped producing them. However, you can still find them occasionally on eBay or at Breyerfest. The Micro Minis are usually reasonably priced, so they are affordable if you're on a budget (who isn't???)

hi there
I am a BIG fan of Winner's Choice Micro horses. I was wondering if I could ask for your help: I am in the making of a Winner' Choice micro web site for fans to see and enjoy the full collection. I wanted to know if you could send some photos or info on anything that has to do with these cute little horses or the Gold Standard models. In return I will carry and post your ad. Please let me know,
Candace Saia

PS
Ill send you the site URL when its ready
