Baby "Jeep!"
I hear all kinds of comments about my newly-rounded shape, but one of the most common seems to be, "Is it twins???"
NO! Thank the gods that it isn't twins!!!
I was at the accountants having our taxes done, and he asked me if twins ran in my family. I told him that they did (my grandmother was a twin) but that the ultrasound showed just one normal-looking baby boy.
"You never know," he answered, "A twin could be hiding behind the other one!"
I say that instead of calling the baby "Derek" we should call him "Jeep" because "There's Only One!"*
Brian replied to my suggestion by adding that we could call him Conor, since "There can be only one!"#
*"There's Only One" is one of the Jeep brand advertising slogans.
# "There can be only one" immortal Highlander. (Hopefully, not my son!)

Well, I hope there's only one baby in there! Otherwise I suppose you'd have to qualify for a two-for-one babysitting deal :)

Forgive me, but that would be 'Conner'. Conor is like Koner, which is what a certain pint-sized troll in Ohio named his first born!

You could name him Duncan - like the Highlander from the TV show. He's the one that lived through the last Highlander movie they made (godawful as it was, I got dragged out to see it in the theater.)
Nah, scratch that. The name Duncan makes me think of doughnuts (ala "Dunkin' Doughnuts").

Well, Conor is the old Irish way to spell it. But Connor is how The Highlander's name is spelled (according to every fanfic I have come across.)
Actually, Connor is my personal preferred way of spelling it, although Conor is the older spelling. (Not quite as old as Conchobor, though.)
Connor lost out as a potential name for the baby because everybody is naming their kid that these days!
