I hate spyware!

Recently, I've had a lot of trouble with "spyware" invading my computer. I hate spyware!

Back at the end of November, a particularly nasty piece of spyware installed itself on my work computer. I never opened any email attachment, and I never gave any program permission to install itself. However, the nasty "browser hijacker" installed itself without my permission. One of the guys here at the office had to remove it for me.
Now, I have a couple of spyware removal tools on my computer. These came in handy when a similar bunch of spyware suddenly appeared on my work computer last Friday. Once again, I hadn't installed anything or opened any attachments. Argh! I used both of the spyware removal tools, and removed the nasty things.
The first time I ran the scanners, I had to reboot my computer because some of the infected items were in the Registry. When I rebooted, a whole bunch more of the nasty spyware appeared. This time, I downloaded all of the updates for the removal tools and ran them again. At last, success! All of the spyware is now gone.
I will now scan my computer often for these insidious programs. They are a nuisance and if whoever writes them thinks I will actually buy or use a product featured in one of their pop-up ads, or on a website to which their program misdirects me, they are sadly mistaken. I will boycott them instead.
I am also following the advice of the guys here at the office. They say to not use Internet Explorer as a browser. They recommended the Mozilla browser, so I've been using that ever since.
