Jessica and baby Derek at the Model Horse Show
Here we are at the Silver Spur Summertime Live Show in Monroe.
I didn't enter the show, I just went to meet with my friends and to show them baby Derek!
This show took place four days after my recent gall bladder surgery! I was up and about, as you can see. I was a bit tired, though!
I have discovered a new weight loss plan to replace my former Pregnancy Weight Loss plan (constant morning sickness.) This new plan is called the "Gall Bladder Attack Weight Loss Plan." Ir requires one to eat nothing but boring, bland, tasteless low-fat foods! After two weeks on the diet, I had lost ten pounds! Amazing!
The drawback, of course, is that the food is yuckier if it has less fat in it. Let's face it, pizza and fried chicken are TASTY!
I am told that I should be able to eat normally once again, but that hasn't been the case so far. Maybe next week...
I did manage to see my friends Kathleen, Teri, Angie and Kathy at the show. It sure was fun to talk with them. I even found a small Appaloosa horse to add to my collection for $5 (I'm on a budget!)

I am having to turn off the comments section of the website, as spammers have been using it with great frequency. I am sad about this, as I like my friends to be able to leave comments. But I don't want anyone overwhelmed with ads from spammers, either.

Philippa joins my Julip stable
A new rider has come home to live at the Julip stable here. She joins Clive and Janie and their herd of Julips!
She brought with her her very own saddle and bridle, a riding crop, and her faithful hound, Grover. She was very glad to finally meet Clive, and they fell in love instantly! Janie just adores her new Mom, finally somone who loves horsies just as much as she does!
Philippa has told Janie that she might get a new pony sometime soon, so as to give poor Kelpie a break now and then. Janie loves to ride Kelpie, her Shetland, so much that she rarely dismounts!
Philippa has taken quite a liking to Bumblebee, one of the cob mares. She teases Bumblebee about her wide girth, calling her "Butterball!"
Clive thinks he's the luckiest guy alive! He has his faithful mount, Rosemund, a new hunter named Zephyr, and a new dog! He has adopted Grover, who likes to ride out with the family on long treks.
