Barack Obama for U.S. President 2008
Barack Obama is my choice for our next President.
I was very impressed with Obama's speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. I said to myself, "That man will be President someday." Nobody had ever heard of him. Brian thought I was crazy.
Read his speech here:

Why do I like Senator Obama so much? For one thing, he is not a member of the status quo. I believe that there are many things in our country that need to be changed, things like health care reform (I vote for universal health coverage)and economic security for our citizens. Politicians who come from wealthy and powerful families are far more likely to resist such change. I feel that with his background, Obama has firsthand knowledge of how the majority of people in the United States live. He is in a better position to understand our needs.
Another reason to vote for Senator Obama is his stance on the war in Iraq. He strongly supports American troops, but wants to bring them home safely. So do I.
A vote for Obama is a vote for a strong, healthy, and economically viable America!

My friend Manda of Havillands sent me this photo of her Julip Farm Cob, Marmaduke, and his gigantic rosette which he won at the show last weekend. Congratulations, Manda and Marmaduke! This photo was taken by Sue Beard, thanks for allowing me to post it!
