Julip old mold Welsh Pony
This is Sheltering Moon, aka Luna, one of the Welsh Ponies in my Julip stable. She is a very shy pony, and very gentle.

New Pony for Janie
Janie received a very special gift this summer. As her old pony, Kelpie, is getting on in years, a new pony was sought. Summer Reflections is a Dartmoor crossbred. He's a very energetic pony with a sweet personality. His barn name is Charlie, but he has earned the nickname "Cheeky Charlie!"

Kelpie with his show Rosettes
I entered Kelpie, my Julip Shetland, in the model horse "Shetland Grand National" and he won some prizes! He won second place in the stallion qualifier and third place in the actual race! (His third place rosette is larger than he is!)
The best part about this model horse show was reading the results, which came with cute photos of actual Shetland Ponies in the real Shetland Grand National! Thanks to Lydia for hosting this very fun show!

My first custom Magpie
I bought a Magpie Shetland Pony shell (two of them, actually) from the manufacturer awhile back, and have only recently finished this one. I call this one Peanuts.

Finally, Derek let me take his picture!
I finally have a new photo of Derek to share! He asked me to take his photo (he usually runs away screaming when he sees a camera!) Derek is very handsome and is such a good boy most of the time! He is already making a list for Santa.

Here is a head shot of my Julip Farm Cob, handsome isn't he?

Julip Farm Cob
I special-ordered this Julip Farm Cob, which I named Gladiator after a real horse I used to ride. I waited several months for his delivery, and was absolutely thrilled with him. He does have some mold imperfections but he is painted very well. I asked that the owner of Julip paint the eyes herself as I prefer her style of eyes to the current Julip painter's style.

Julip "Quarter Horse"
This is the mold that Julip call a Quarter Horse, although it looks like nothing of the sort. I call this particular model, a dapple grey that was listed on the Julip website, Gemini because my friend Laura has its exact twin.

Kai goes western!
I saddled Kai up in western tack so that my friend Silke could have a ride. Kai was very well-behaved.
The breast collar doesn't really fit him, I have to get a hole punch and add some holes to the straps so that I can adjust it better. I suspect that the horse who formerly wore it was a stock horse.

Pirates at the Sept. 22 Pirate Fun Show!
I hosted a Pirate-themed Fun Show for model horse collectors, with glass "jewels" and plastic gold coins in place of ribbons. It was a hoot! Some of the participants really got into the spirit of things, with Julie going by the name "Capt. Morgan" (complete with fake bottle of rum) and Silke having brought Captain Jack Sparrow for a visit. Yo ho ho!
Back row: Sue S., Jill R., Captain Jack, Julie "Capt. Morgan" M.
Front row: "Eville" Sue, Silke and Cap'n Jess. (Not pictured: Carrie and Conni.)

Kai in profile
Here is a nice photo of Kai, which I took when my friend Silke came to visit. I put the western tack on him so that Silke could ride him. Kai kept trying to return to me when Silke was riding him!
Derek also got a ride on Kai, but wouldn't allow me to take his photo. He's weird about being photographed. (However, that is Derek in the background.)

My Old Phone Wallpaper
This photo was taken by a salesperson in the store where I had just purchased a new mobile phone (complete with camera!) Obviously this was a couple of years ago. My, how Derek has grown since then!
I needed a new phone recently, as the one on which this photo was stored was having difficulty holding a charge. So I went to get a new phone, but I made the salesman email me this photo before deactivating the old phone. I thought this photo was too cute to give up.
